Under affiliation agreements, IERC represents the partnering institution and offers its services as an integral part of IERC’s overall operations. It is IERC’s responsibility to supervise, administer and manage the affiliate’s services and/or programs when offering these to third parties. All negotiations with third parties regarding the implementation of an affiliate’s program(s) are handled directly by IERC. Students who graduate with a degree in International Studies are well-prepared to work for any government and policy-making entity, in non-governmental and international organizations, as well as participate in international projects and development-oriented organisms. Students may also choose to work for international corporations that require an in-depth understanding of those elements that affect a corporation operating within the international arena.

At the end of their academic program, students will have acquired the ability to analyze those political and socio-economic factors that influence countries’ trajectories; the social and cultural bases of international interactions and interrelations, and will be able to understand the complex relationships that exist between governments and societies nationally and internationally. Students will have full-fledged comprehension of the critical issues confronted by the world today and will be able to help resolve these through the practical application of the knowledge and skills attained throughout their course work.

Lastly, by having gained insights into the challenges faced specifically within the developing world, students will increase their social awareness and consciousness that will guide them in their professional lives as leaders of transformations that will have far-reaching, global benefits. Doctoral students graduating with a degree in International Studies may also choose an academic path, dedicating themselves to teaching and research.
